A grave question

Doug says that yes indeed it does look like a grave. You might want to dig it up and spread it around rather than having it like that.
But if you like the look of a grave (or for whatever reason you want it there) then my personal thought is that I'd plant it with big perennials to act as a backdrop for your pond and potted plants. Rather than having even more "small stuff" there, I'd use it as background and focus the attention and eyes on the pond and plants around the pond.
