Choosing rocks to avoid algae

Do I have to buy granite for in the pond to avoid algae? Or can I use the local glacial till that has limestone as well as other rocks?
Is algae inevitable with fish wether I use limestone or granite? I need to make a decision soon. Granite would look nice but it gets covered with the good algae right?

Doug says the good news is that all rocks will be soon covered in algae - no matter the underlying composition. Pick the rock you like the look of - it's going to be algae covered soon enough. :-)
