eating leaves

I put a lily in my pond and the leaves look like the fish are nibbling on them or the frogs are tearing them up. The flowers are blooming beautifully despite the problems with leaves

Doug says that it's probably snails taking bites of the leaves. Frogs unlikely culprits. Fish can disturb the roots but not usually the leaves. Bet on snails - and you can hand scoop them off or just ignore and the natural balance of things will prevail.

Simply feed your lilies regularly so they're producing enough leaves to replace those that get eaten.

A simple but effective strategy.

And yes, slightly eaten leaves are a fact and way of life in the water garden.
