The bog is about 2 and a half feet wide and 10 feet in length, and 3 feet in debth. How many lotus do you recomend me planting in the pond/bog to fill it nicely? The lotus will be planted in the natural bottom of loam with manure and sand. Mostly loam. The pond is constructed with an EDPM liner. I know the lotus will run and I don't want to over crowd. I would apperciate your opnion. Thank you.

Doug says you don't say what kind of lotus you'll be growing but you can easily expect the smaller ones to grow 24 inches around. The larger ones can grow upwards of 20 feet within a few years.

A a rule of thumb, 24 to 36 inches apart will work to give you a full covering.

Just make sure they're going to have some water over those crowns if you expect them to do well.
