how do i plant water celery, or wild celery, in my pond?

Doug says this plant is usually sold as a small clump of broad leaved plants (usually held together with a rubber band or bit of lead). Plant in whatever soil you have lying around (real soil from the garden is best) with the exception of any kind of artificial soil containing perlite (the white chunks) because that floats away or peat moss (it can be too light to hold the roots) ;-) Tuck the roots or about an inch of the stems (if it has no roots) into the potted soil and put the soil line several inches below the water-level.
