How much sun is OK for american pitchers?

(savannah, GA)

I'm building a bog in my backyard in Savannah, GA. I have a spot laid out but am worried it won't get enough sun to grow the plants we want: American Pitchers, sundews, bladder wort, swamp sunflower, swamp rose, sorghastrum. The spot I have in mind gets direct sun from about 10:15 in the morning to about 2:45 in the afternoon. Afer 2:45, the 6 foot high block wall adjoining the site, casts a shadow on the site. Is this location good enough for these plants to thrive? Thanks

Doug says maybe-yes, maybe-no. You're talking about 4-5 hours of light a day and the apparent minimum for pitcher plants is in the 5-6 hour range. So - maybe a problem - maybe not. Your GA sun is stronger than some and Savannah is a very warm micro-climate area so you "might" get away with it. Here's an article on pitcher plants to give you some sense of it. Bottom line - I'd try them.
