In this short video of how to grow a water lily, I emphasize the very few things a lily needs to survive; not to mention grow and flower well.

It's one of those funny rules in the garden, give a plant what it wants and it will be happy. Try to give it what you want and it's not going to be very pleased. Here's what a water lily wants in the garden pond.




When it comes to ponds, there are few things nicer than water lilies blooming in the late afternoon sun while you sit around the pond chatting with friends.
