Our first pond

Our first pond

This pond was made in about a day using rocks and plants from our own yard.

We live in the Pocono mountains in Pennsylvania and are fortunate to have a large yard, filled with boulders and various sizes and shapes of fieldstone, as well as large and small fern.

We did not use a kit, and this is our first attempt at building a water feature. It's not complete--we will be incorporating more plants as we go.

the round shape kind of makes the pond look like a pot hole ,for your next pond try a pear or kidney shape

your pond shows how easy it is to make a pond easy, in about a day. with out plans. and with what you have on hand. I like that. We moved into our home a year ago. we have been having so much fun adding plants. that is also the fun of your pond, adding plants as you go.
