Our backyard pond was built in 2004. It has not only survived it has thrived! Our Koi and goldfish are healthy and they are spawning and having healthy pretty babies. Our pond is the focal point of our backyard and we really enjoy it from morning breakfast, through out the day and evening.

Larry & Karen's Pond Fish

by Larry & Karen Dickerson
(Pekin, Illinois USA)

Our pond is about 15ft x 24ft and about 3.5ft at it's deepest point. It has a mulit tiered waterfall and is home to several koi. At least 4 frogs have also moved in and are enjoying there new home. We completed our pond July 4th 2008 after much research and the help of your e-book. We built it entirely ourselves and enjoy it very much. It includes a skimmer, bio fall filter, and 4000 gph pump.

sparky the cat meets the fishes

by Sue Post

come on in the water's fine

come on in the water's fine

Our cat Sparky loves water (no he is not a normal cat). Whenever we take him outside he will head straight for the water, be it the pond or the sprinkler. We built this raised pond several years ago so my mother would be able to sit next to it without without having to kneel down. She has had both knees replaced. Our only regret is that it isn't bigger (a common problem with pond builders I hear). It would only be a bigger swimming pool for the cat anyway.
