Leaves of water lillies going yellow

I've recently added a water lilly to my pond which is about a month old. The lilly is growing new leaves at a good rate but they soon start to turn yellow from the stem and soon start to die off. Is this just the 'shock' of a new habitat or is there a more fundamental problem? All other plants I've added seem to be growing normally.

Doug says that water lilies do indeed grow and then turn yellow as they age. In a well-fed pot, this will go on all summer - new ones being produced and then turning yellow as they age. Sounds about right to me

My Leaves are turning yellow on my hardy water lillies at a faster rate than they are regrowing. It appears that something is eating on them or they may have a disease. I have had many blooms, but the water surface is becoming too exposed. I havenot found any info on this. Any help?
