Lilies are have taken over my pond.

How do I get rid of these pesky lilies?

Doug says start digging. :-) I also note that you can cut off the leaves and if you do that regularly you'll wind up weakening the plant and it may indeed die out after a season or three. But you can't allow any of the leaves in that area to remain or regrow.

You might also offer "free water lilies" to a local garden club, water garden sales shop, or run ads in the local paper and Craig's List for dig your own waterlilies.
