I love to sit and listen to the the water falls and the birds singing, we have a total of 3 working watergardens and plan to put in more. This is one we had, but with flooding, the sides caves in so we have been using formed ponds. But I love this picture, hope you do too.

Nature...

Good things come in small packages!
My backyard is my stress releaser. Nothing like sitting by the pond in the morning with a cup of coffee and watching my babies come up to say "good morning"

We have a HUGE yard that had no landscaping whatsoever when we bought it 5 years ago & after many perennial beds we decided to try the pond and goldfish!

my backyard pond

I started this pond last fall so it does need some more plants and etc. I also have a flower garden and am starting a shade garden this fall. I hope to share more photos later. I just moved here 3 years ago and miss my old home and family so this is my way of bringing it to me.

Early Spring Reflection

Ok, technically this is not a pond.
A creek runneth through our property - the water caught the very blueness of the early spring sky.

A City Pond In Early Afternoon On A August Day
Our backyard pond is in the city of Chicago. We don't have far to get away. We just go out in our own backyard!
This backyard pond provides entertainment and relaxation for our family, neighbors and friends. It provides a creative outlet and exercise for the homeowners who maintain the pond.

My small pond

my pond
Just goes to show you that you don't need a big pond! My small pond houses one koi, one shubunkin, and one sorasa gold fish plus beautiful plants!
Two hardy water lilies, one white and one yellow, an assortment of grasses, bamboos, a venezalean water poppy, water hyacinths, water lettuce, loisiana iris and more!
My pond is filtered by a small bog garden that contains two pitcher plants, water forget-me-not, varigated clover, lavender musk, horsetail grass, spider lily, and a parrot feather.
I love my little pond and water gardens. Very cool and the fish are happy too!
Thanks for looking!

Jane and Bill's new pond
by Jane
(Tobyhanna, PA )
Our first pond
This pond was made in about a day using rocks and plants from our own yard.
We live in the Pocono mountains in Pennsylvania and are fortunate to have a large yard, filled with boulders and various sizes and shapes of fieldstone, as well as large and small fern.
We did not use a kit, and this is our first attempt at building a water feature. It's not complete--we will be incorporating more plants as we go.
Please let us know what you think of our pond.
