snails

I have a over popultion snail problem in the bog on my koi pond. The little tiny ones. So many they are stopping up my fountain. Any solutions?

Doug says there are pond chemicals that kill snails outright - as in whack them all but none that selectly kill only a few. The only solution I'd suggest is to get a small aquarium fish-net and start collecting/scraping them into jars for removal.

Or hand brush them off and swish them up into a net.

Sounds like something is going nuts in the pond (maybe too much organic matter) and they have a great food source.
