bamboo might do it

Yeah Robbie - you might find the bamboo is doing it - rotting wood kind of thing. A partial water changeout (about 1/3 to 1/2 will help immensely in getting rid of the smell and without fish in there, there's no problem with a bit higher level of chlorine. Good luck with it

Sorry, I forgot to mention, I have 2 pump filters in it. The dogs used to get into it when it was outdoors, that is one of the reasons for moving it inside so the dogs can't get in it anymore. I did however put in 2 bamboo containers holding fake ivy, and I think the bamboo is breaking down and is causing the smell
