Water lilies cover my pond.

What effect do (proliffic) lilies have on the oxygen levels of wet weather my pond ?.Area is between Between half and one acre, lily coverage aprox 75%. Expanded from flower seeds rather than expansion of tubas. Thankyou. BJM.

Doug says - no negative effects on O2 levels at all in a pond of this size. If there is not spring water input, you may find a lot of rotting plant material will create some problems depending on what else you have in the pond but generally, not an issue with any kind of pond that has a spring water input.
