I have a waterlilie in a pot in my pond, but pond is not very deep maybe 20cm. there is a deep spot but the sun doesnt gett there.
i have lots of big leaves but will i gett a flower also if the pond is not deep but on this side has lots of sun?

Doug says that the sunshine is what's going to give you a flower. Shade won't - no matter how deep the water.

Is there an intermediate area in the ponds that gets 8 hours/day with enough depth.

Having said that - if the water is 20cm over the root/pot, then you'll likely have decent flowering in the sunny area. It's not the "optimum" depth but plants are pretty flexible.

However, if the 20 cm is the depth of the water and the pot is 20 cm - then you know the answer. :-(
