What is the best NPK for Water Lily Fertilizers?

Can you advise what the best mix would be for Water Lilies. Have one product that has a 8-24-8, which would empahsis on root and flower development and then another that has 17-5-17 concentrating on leaf and stem growth.
You advice would be much appreciated.


Doug says that assuming these are in pond tablet form you can bury in your soil, it "depends" on whether you're trying to develop roots or top growth - you have that info already.

If you are only going to use one - go with the 17-5-17 that should give you the most balanced growth
